Their album 'Still Life' was warmly received by fans and press World-wide and over time has become a cult album. It is a must for OMD fans. The album 'Still Life' was described as having "captured the moody melodies of early Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark and combined it with their own distinctive sound".

'Oil For The Lamps Of China' was their debut single release and was remixed by Grammy Award Winning engineer Tom Lord Alge . The sleeve design features an evocative photo entitled 'Bring Me Home' which had been taken in China by photographer Clive Vincent Jachnik - an old school friend of Martin Cooper.
